Hello Blogosphere, I'm Binh.

Hey Blog Fans!

I'm Binh. I’m part of the HTMLFusion team where I wear a lot of metaphorical hats (but very few real ones). During the day I am a front end web developer, but my history and what I do with my free time might be more interesting.

I come from a pretty big family. I’m one of FIVE. It was a full house. I have a twin brother named An. When you put my name and my twin brother's name together (Binh-An)it becomes the Vietnamese word for “peace”. I'm assuming that 'peaceful' twins is probably the kind of twins most parents are hoping for, including my parents. Luckily I think we typify their wish (like 95% of the time).

I’ve always been an active person and organized sports has always been a huge part of my life. I ran cross-country and track in high school and was elected to be Captain and Most Valuable Player in my senior year, which felt great and reinforced my commitment to the kind of dedication that requires. My personal record for the 3 mile and 1 mile race are 16:34 and 4:44, respectively. (Not too shabby!)

I went to college at the University of California, Irvine. Although I stopped running competitively I still wanted to stay active. I’ve never been a social person so sports were always a way to interact with others. So I decided to audition for a CADC (The Chinese Association Dance Crew). Prior to this I had no training or dancing experience. My plan? To skip school for a week and practice around the clock.

To date, that week remains some of the most fun I ever had. Ever. I made the team and danced all throughout college. I’m still dancing today and it is a source of both massive fun and beneficial fitness. It’s my 7th year now dancing with an exhibition team called Hall of Fame, and I love it. Maybe that is not exactly the background you were expecting to hear from a front end web developer. But that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
