Two years ago Eran May-Raz and Daniel Lazo came up with an inspiring forward looking short movie, called Sight, about an augmented world.
The movie focuses largely on the gamification of our current reality. It starts with games that require physical effort, like honing your cooking skills. The second part is a seduction game and it's quite interesting how they treat the user interface and live interaction.
During a date, the main character is getting live feedback on his date's current state of mind and emotions. From these hints he executes actions like compliments, refocuses the conversation, or changes in topic. Based on the effectiveness of his actions he gets points. The visuals and interactions in the short are very well executed and flow nicely in the storyline.
The usefulness and practicality of the user interfaces and games in Sight can be questioned but they enhance the story line pretty well.
Sight is a great way to start a conversation about Mixed Reality user experience.
